Fetal Dystocia


Fetal dystocia is an abnormal fetal size or position, a difficult birth. The diagnosis is based on research, ultrasound, or in response to worsening labor. Physical therapy is a measure placed on the fetus, vaginal operative delivery or caesarean section.

Fetal dystocia may occur when the fetus is too large for the pelvic outlet (fetopelvic mismatch), or is abnormally positioned (for example, breech presentation). normal fetal presentation is the point where the front of the bulge.
